Identity for an Auckland Community Martial Arts Club. Designs consists of letterheads, envelopes, business cards, brochures, posters and publications that illustrate interesting aspects of Aikido.

The theme for this project is dynamism. Capture the sense of fluid movement through the use of an Aikido technique – a forward break-fall motion. To produce work that is suggestive of speed and harmony. The work resulted in a sleek rolling figure. The thrown human form provides the design with an attractive and dynamic identity. The resulting icon presents as both elegant and strong. The combination, like the sport, is a rare example of these two qualities.
